Bath Time

When Hannah was baby she hated take showers. She would freak out and hang on for dear life. All of a sudden last week she asked if she could take a shower and now look at her. She hates taking tubbers and is all about just taking a shower. I think she has taken after her father because she does is stand in the water because it keeps her warm. Super funny.

Well i had to post on pic of addy. She loves taking baths now all by herself. She just swims all over the place.

"Sisters"

The girls are getting so big. I can't believe how much things have changed around the house the last few months. Addy is getting more social and loves playing with Hannah. I think Hannah is fianlly realizing that her and addy can play together. It is great. Makes our lifes alittle easier around the house.

Hanging Out

Happy Holloween

We went trick-or-treating in Cloquet this year with Jordan and Val. All four girls had a blast. We only went up two or three blocks and they made a hauling. Even addy was going up to the doors and putting out her bucket. It was super cute and fun. I can't believe how big all the kids are getting. CRAZY!

Summer Days!

On Sunday morning we went to visit the Gunderson's. They had their baby on early saturday morning so we made our trip down to visit. New baby gunderson is so cute. Afterwards we decieded to get a new pool that is tad bigger and alittle deeper so the girls could have a good day. It was like 90 out so it was perfect. Addy loves the water. She would fall over and not miss a beat. She thought it was great going underwater. She would come up laughing. Hannah was learning to lay back on her float. She would say "i am relaxing mom". To funny.

Barnum Fair

We took the girls to the Barnum Fair on Saturday evening. We went with my mom, sister, jordan and val. We also met the Hipp's there as well. It was pretty good. Addy started getting crabby towards the end of the night. She was pretty tired and fell asleep as soon as she hit the car seat.

Hog Fest 2008!

Well Hannah was in the Hog Fest parada again. This year the float was a pariate ship and she choose to sit inside. Check out these great photos!

Camping

Well we have been busy this summer camping. We went three times in July and are planning to go two more times in August. It is great. The girls love it and we have been times down to a sciences. This past weekend we went down to Moose Lake again. This time we stayed at the city campground with our friends, the Homstads. It was great. We had two sites next to each other so we deiced to face our camper doors towards each other. The kids had a blast. They really did a nice job entertaining each other so we could just relax. The beach was pretty nice as well. It was nice and sandy and Addy loved it. I was really suprised how much she loved walking around and just sitting in the water. She is going to be our beach babe. :)

Just a few pics from the weekend. Enjoy!

Hot Summer Day in July

On Sunday it was a really hot day so we got up and decieded to setup the kiddy pool so the girls could go swimming in the yard. Hannah loved it. She took her small slide and thought it would be fun to slide into the pool. Addy wasn't sure at 1st but when i got in there with her she loved it. She was having a blast. After a while we had lunch and of course a ice cream treat. Nate and i just hung out and got some SUN!

1st Camping trip of the year

So nate and i took a few days off last week and thought we would go camping since we had no daycare. We didn't go to far. We went to Moose Lake State park. It was a really nice camp ground. I was pretty impressed. The girls did great. They really had a lot of fun and it was really nice and relaxing to be away and just hang out.

Another Week gone!

WOW! It has been a  while since I written. We have been very busy and I was in Atlanta for 5 days last week. It was a lot of fun but really hot. It was like 98 degrees down there and when I got off the plane in Duluth last Wednesday it was 44 here. What a difference.

Nate and I are getting geared up for the big Grandma's Half this weekend. Can't wait. We went for a 8 mile run on Saturday morning which went a lot better then I thought. I was pretty tired after but overall I thought we did pretty good considering all the hills we went up and down. My goal again this year is just to finish. I think if I run again next year I might actually set a time goal  but training has been a slow this year so I don't want to get setup myself up and not making it.

Girls are doing great. Getting bigger all the time. Addy is so close to walking but has a hard time letting go. O' well, she is in her own little world and we keep telling ourselves she will walk when she is ready. Hannah is starting to be very independent. The other day I was changing Addy in her room and I looked out and watched Hannah get her tooth brush and toothpaste and brush her own teeth without Nate or I standing there. It almost made me cry. She is getting to big to fast.

We have been wanting to go camping this year but no go. Weather has been to cold and icky on the weekends so on Saturday we deiced that we would camp in the backyard .We started a fire in the fire-pit and then slept in the camper. It was a lot of fun until about 1115 when it started to rain and Addy woke up. I thought I would spare our neighbors from thinking we were crazy and took her in the house. She slept a lot better in the house.

Memorial Day Weekend

Wow where does the time go.  We were another landscaping mission to get things done this past weekend. Hannah went up to mom and dads for the weekend so we decided to finish off a few outside projects. We started off by finish the off the landscaping around the garage and then Nate decided it was would be good to get the rest of the stumps from the trees out. Let me tell you how much of a pain in the but that was.  Afterwards we pulled out the clothes line polls from the yard. The 1st on came out super easy but then the second one, WOW! We pulled and dug and pulled and dug and i think our neighbors thought we were on crack because after about an hour they came over to help. They laughed and said.......Need some help??  Of course i left and went into the house. I was so embarrassed. After about another hour of pulling and digging they finally decided to just cut the darn thing off and we would bury it. We are very thankful though they came or else it would still be in the ground and we would still be trying to dig it out.

After the long day we called it good enough. We showered and went out to eat in Cloquet at Gordy's Hi Hat. It was good. It was just the three of us and Addy was getting alot of mommy time in. I was telling a go co-worker today that i really felt good about our alone time with addy this weekend. With her being the second child she doesn't get that and she was in a great mood all weekend.

Sunday morning we decided to go for a short run with Addy and the dog. It was good until on our way back. Addy doesn't have much patients and well about 1/2 way back she started to freak out. I wanted to stop and just carry her but Nate said no and told me that she needs to deal until we get home. About a block away from home i made him stop and pick her up. She didn't want nate and only wanted mommy. I carried her the rest of the block until we got home. We then showered and went to church.

After church Nate made a trip to the dump and got rid of a bunch of mulch and leaves and then we just hung out after that. Hannah came back around 8sih. We had to run to Cloquet to pick her up at Uncle Scotts house. It was really good to see her. When we walked into the house came running up and gave me a big huggy and kiss. She is such a sweetheart. After we go home i got the girls ready for bed my cousin Melissa called and we met up for a drink at the Runway Bar. It was good to see her and she is always great to talk with.

Monday we decided to go the Zoo. We got a family pass. Super cheap. It cost us $55 for the whole year. It would normally cost us $22 for each time we went so we thought buying us a pass would be better. Hannah loved it. She loved seeing the animals. It was a cooler morning so all the animals were out. After the Zoo came nap time. During nap time i went for run again and then we went over to Trish and Bryan's for a picnic inside. :) It was fun and always great conversation.

So that was our weekend in a nut shell. Like i said earlier where does the time go.

Oh yeah....Addy got two new teeth bring her total up to 6.

Another week gone

Well it has been two weeks since I last wrote.  We have been very busy these past weeks. Mother's day weekend myself and Trish ran in the Mother's Day 5K run on Saturday morning. It was great. It was our first time running together we did really well. Mother's day we just hung out around the house and started to do some landscaping around the deck and garage. I am very happy with house things are coming along. It really looks good now. We are now starting to work on the front yard. I am digging up my cheep landscape job i started when we 1st moved in because i hate it. I want to just plant a few bushes and hostas there and work on just adding some simple curb appeal. Nothing over the top. My goal would be to get that done this coming weekend as long as the weather continues to stay nice.

I have been running as well when i find time. I feel as though i am not getting anywhere but i am trying. My goal is run atleast every other day this week and do a 6 mile run on Saturday and next week do a 8 mile run. I really need to kick it down for the next month or else i won't make it. Oh and Jessie bailed on me so i am on my own. Nate said he would run with me but i really dont' want to hold him back from getting a good time. We will see how things go.

The girls are doing great as always. They love being out side which is great. Fresh air makes kids sleep longer at night. We had to go buy another plastic pool for their sand box. The other one we had blew away in our last blizzard. I can't tell you how excited Hannah was when we got it and put the sand in there. She was jumping up an down. Every morning on our way to daycare she stops in front of it and wants to go in to play. She gets really upset when i tell her no. :(

Photo Gallery

So i finally uploaded some photos from the last month. It is a combination of Max's 1st birthday party, swimming at the waterpark, hannah's birthday party and her new PINK room.
Check them out here.

Party's Galore

Wow. We made it through another weekend of birthday party's.  Nate and I took off last Thursday and Friday to get a few things done and go up to my parents house to see my Grandma C and help Mom with Dad's birthday party. Before we left, we painted Hannah's room on Wednesday night so we could give it a few days to air out. Wow is it ever pink but it looks great. I love it and all Hannah can say is "Oh my gosh mommy, I love it".  It is so funny.  Then we went up to Mom and Dad's for a long weekend. We had a surprise party of Dad's 50th so we had a lot of prep work that we needed to do. Then on Saturday we setup for the big party and it went off pretty well if i could say so myself. He was defiantly surprised and had a really good time. Mom invited about 75 ppl and we had about 50 show up which is pretty good consider everyone had to travel to come.

On Sunday we got up early and headed back to Proctor for Hannah's birthday party at Eskimo Pies. It was a great place to have a party since is pretty open and the kids can just run around. We had a great turn out and we didn't have any left over food. Thank God!  I didn't really want to eat pizza again for a week like we did for Addison's. Hannah got a lot of great toys and clothes. She is set for the summer.

After the party on Sunday we went home and setup Hannah's twin bed. She had went over to Grandma Hanson's to play with JaJa so we had Mom and Dad pick up a twin mattress at Sam's and bring it back so when she got home we could surprise her. She was pretty excited to sleep in her "Big" bed last night. She did really well until about 5:30 this morning when I heard a big "thud" and heard Hannah start crying. She fell out of her bed and was pretty scared. So off to target or walmart tonight to buy her a side bed rail so she doesn't fall out again. :)

Another busy weekend

Well we had another busy weekend. We attended Spencer's birthday party on Friday night at the Superior YMCA. it was a really good time. The YMCA over there is really nice. The pool area is great and the girls had a blast. They are defiantly getting their swimming this spring with all these pool parties.  After the  party the girls and I headed out to Chokio for the weekend.  We left Duluth around 730 and made to it Sauk Center before I had to stop and get a hotel room. The roads were starting to ice up and I was about to drive in the dark with the girls in the back. We tried our luck at the American Inn but they didn't have anything available. Then we tried "The Palms". Let me tell you how great of a hotel that was. It is nothing like the Palms in Vegas even though i think they were trying to be like them. The hot pink walls and palm trees outside were great. Either way it was a safe place to stay. We got up Saturday morning and started on the road again. It took about us 2-3 hours but we finally made it. We had a great time and it was so good to see the family even though it was a pretty short stay. We are now in planning mode for Hannah's big day this coming weekend. We are having her birthday party and Eskimo Pies on Sunday at 1. I just sent out the invitations today. I am so bad about that but I did call and email everyone.  Just a tad busy these days.

Oh i can't forget, Nate did a alot of work around the house this weekend. He painted the bathroom, put up new shelves in the hall closet and got rid of a bunch of leaves.  Way to go Nate. He is a superstar!

Busy Weekends

So since the last post thing have been pretty busy. On Addy's birthday we had a blizzard so we didn't end up going to Great Grandma's for the baby shower. Nate and I decided on Saturday though that we head to the cities and bum around. We went to Ikea and pick up some new curtains for the dining room and went to a Super Target and picked up a double stroller. The girls love it. On Sunday we went to Max's 1st birthday party at Black Bear. The girls had a awesome time swimming. Hannah loves the water. I can't believe how brave she is getting. Addy really started liking the water. Nate and her went swimming around. It was really cute.

This past weekend i had to run down to the cities for a district meeting and when we got back on Saturday we went to the Duluth Waterpark with the Gunderson's. It was a great time. We were all a tad tired on this morning but we were able to take a nap this afternoon which was well needed. WOW! We were have been busy. Time to slow down just need a few more weekends before we can :). I guess that is live with kids. Busy and on the go all the time.
I plan to post pics from these past two weekends but am to lazy tonight to grab the camera cord.

Rainy, Snowy April Day - 4/6/2008

Here is how we spent our day. Addy and Nate napped and Hannah played with finger paints.

Addy's 1st Birthday Party

Well it was a pretty eventful weekend at the Sandman household. We had Addy's 1st birthday party. I am not exactly sure what i was thinking have 35 people all gathered in our house. It was a tad hectic and we won't do that again. Overall through the crowds it was a good time. We ordered way to much pizza from Proctor Pizza. We had two whole pizza's left over. It is OK. I guess we will be having left over pizza for a few days. Addy loved her cupcakes and she had a good time eating it. We did the whole cupcake thing because i thought it would be easier. The cake didn't turn out the way i was hoping because i ran of out time making them and frosting them but overall it was OK. I guess it didn't matter as you can tell she enjoyed them either way. Shee got lots of great gifts. Mostly clothes so we are defiantly set for the summer. It is good thing too because i am not sure if Hannah's hand me downs are going fit. :)
